Procurement Manager (M/F 1 Post)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for construction materials in alignment with project timelines and budgets.
• Forecast material requirements based on project schedules and coordinate with project managers.
• Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors for construction materials.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings and ensure quality.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreements.
• Source high-quality construction materials, such as cement, steel, aggregates, and specialized equipment, at competitive prices.
• Review and approve purchase orders, ensuring adherence to company policies and budgets.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Coordinate logistics and delivery schedules to ensure timely availability of materials on-site.
• Resolve supply chain issues and address delays or disruptions.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with legal, ethical, and safety standards.
• Mitigate risks by diversifying suppliers and creating contingency plans.
• Monitor procurement metrics, such as cost savings, lead times, and supplier performance.
• Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, costs, and efficiencies to senior management.
• Supervise and guide the procurement team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Train team members on procurement best practices and systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5+ years of experience in procurement, with 3+ years in construction materials or related industries.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of local and international construction material markets.
• Understanding of inventory management and supply chain principles.
